Background: Natural substances are well known to influence efficacy of a number of chemotherapeutic
drugs. Both, supporting and inhibiting impact is reported. In contrast, information
on the interaction of natural substances and immunotherapy is very preliminary. The
present study aims to identify a) the therapeutic impact of Vitamin C, Curcumin, Artesunat
on the PD-1/PDL-1 inhibitor Pembrolizumab and b) chances induced in the immunophenotype
in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients.
